Law enforcement Division
In the law enforcement division we offer certification in Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle (carbine) and sub Machine Gun. Force Options travels extensively providing these courses. These are professional certifications that go far beyond simple written tests and power point presentations. These courses are designed to enhance your ability to present safe and thorough firearms training to fellow officers. These instructor certification courses are Missouri POST certified.
Our four certification divisions are:
Handgun
This course is designed to develop an instructor’s skills to successfully teach defensive handgun skills to fellow officers. This class will cover both classroom and range activities.
Prerequisites:
Sworn LEO
Advanced weapon skills
Physically capable to moving into a wide variety of shooting positions
Equipment:
Pistol with three magazines, wrap around eye protection, 400 rounds of pistol ammunition, holster and magazine pouch, light for weapon, cleaning kit, ear protection, range training uniform, knee pads, body armor, and elbow pads.
Shotgun
This course offers the tools necessary for training Law Enforcement Officers in the proper use of a shotgun. The instruction includes platform instruction, shooting skills, one-on-one instruction, range techniques, and safety drills.
Prerequisites:
Sworn LEO
Advanced weapon skills
Physically capable to moving into a wide variety of shooting positions
Equipment:
12 Ga. Shotgun, 150 rounds of 00 buck, 50 rounds of slugs, wrap around eye protection, cleaning kit, ear protection, range training uniform, body armor, vest or pouch to hold shotgun shells for reloading.
Rifle (carbine)
This course offers the tools necessary for training Law Enforcement Officers in the proper use of a rifle. The instruction includes platform instruction, shooting skills, one-on-one instruction, range techniques, and safety drills.
Prerequisites:
Sworn LEO
Advanced weapon skills
Physically capable to moving into a wide variety of shooting positions
Equipment:
AR-15 rifle with sling, optics are optional, three rifle magazines, wrap around eye protection, 400 rounds of rifle ammunition, cleaning kit, ear protection, range training uniform, knee pads, body armor, and elbow pads.
Sub Machinegun
Upon completion of this course the student will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to instruct, evaluate, test and certify qualified operators in the safe use and deployment of the sub-machinegun.

Equipment:
SMG with sling, optics are optional, three rifle magazines, wrap around eye protection, 400 rounds of rifle ammunition, cleaning kit, ear protection, range training uniform, knee pads, body armor, and elbow pads.
Course Design
These courses are designed for law enforcement officers that have extensive experience with their weapons. With this level of skill already present, we are able to present courses in a condensed and expedient fashion. We present these courses in one day blocks. Courses are 7 hours in length and include lecture and practical instruction. Unlike other certification programs, we require the successful completion of a skills test at the end of the course to achieve certification.
Certification will last for 3 years. Re-certification requires completion of the course again.
