The Force Options OSC is designed is a two portion course. The primary focus is the evaluation and testing of those interested in potential employment with Force Options as contractors. The course is also open to individuals that want to experience the event and get the training, but feel they are not ready to take part in the actual selection.


This course covers the tactical use of the shotgun. It covers the tactical skills necessary to successfully operate a shotgun in a hostile environment and combines it with a vast array of advanced shooting and manipulation techniques. Students will hone their skills to a razor’s edge in this challenging course. Students can expect to see dramatic increases in their speed, accuracy, and manipulation techniques during this course.
This course is designed to expose students to the next level in carbine training. While fundamentals will always be stressed, this course goes further and covers a great deal more. These topics include:
This course will teach effective techniques and principles for using a carbine as a close quarter fighting weapon. We will cover modified shooting positions, CQB weapon retention as well as fire and movement in close quarters.

This class will explore a variety of subjects all based around the idea of improving an officer's ability to survive an attack while on patrol. This will be a hands on class in which each officer will be paired up and practice as well as be at the receiving end of technique. These are tried and tested techniques that are effective for officers of all sizes and abilities.
In this class you will learn a wide variety of simple and out of the box effective techniques to aid in controlling non-compliant subjects. Each technique is designed to be used by all officers regardless of size and strength. From simple finger locks to ground pins, you will be exposed to a variety of techniques.
The objective of this course is to teach participants effective responses to an edged weapon attack in a close quarter environments. This course will cover realistic and effective countermeasures highlighting the body mechanics needed to effectively defend against an edged weapon attack.

This course is open to agencies wishing to retrain a handler with an existing dog that was trained by another vendor (pending an evaluation prior to the course). This course provides basic handling techniques, and a series of lectures on Patrol, narcotics or explosives detection deployment, tracking/trailing, apprehension training, maintenance training, case law, record keeping.
This class will cover 2 major subjects: Weapon retention and use of the firearm as a tool to physically control an aggressive subject. A grabbed weapon presents a major danger to operators in many realms; your immediate danger of being disarmed and shot, your teammates coming under fire from the weapon just taken from you, interrupting the flow of the stack during the struggle, inability to fire your weapon because of unsafe field of fire, it goes on.

The use of firearms in executive protection is by all accounts a last resort. When events have escalated to the point that shots are being fired, it is essential that protective teams posses the skills to protect the principal as well as themselves. We will cover fire and movement drills as well as weapon transition and use of cover. Handgun, carbine and shot gun will all be covered. This is an advanced course and will require an expanded application.
